Howard Hanna Financial Services placed sixth in the top-performing lender group and received Best Quality Pre-Closing Submissions recognition from PHFA
Pittsburgh, Pa. – Howard Hanna Financial Services received accolades from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) last week as one of its top lending partners for 2025 during the agency’s annual Homeownership Awards event in Harrisburg.
Howard Hanna Financial Services continued its trend of Top 10 rankings, placing sixth overall from a network of 85 lenders. This marks at least the 17th consecutive year that Howard Hanna has appeared in that top-performing lender group, with this year’s finish matching 2022 as the highest position over the last four years.
Additionally, Howard Hanna Financial Services also received recognition from PHFA in its specialized categories, taking home plaudits for Best Quality Pre-Closing Submissions. Howard Hanna previously earned the same award in 2020.
“Receiving recognition for both lending performance and quality submissions speaks to the care and attention our team brings to every transaction,” said Duffy Hanna, President of Hanna Financial. “We take great pride in delivering an exceptional experience for our clients and partners alike.”
“Without our lending partners, PHFA couldn’t accomplish its mission,” said Robin Wiessmann, PHFA Executive Director and CEO in a press release. “Lenders play a significant role in bringing affordable-housing option to residents, so they can stop renting and purchase a home of their own. PHFA is pleased to honor their outstanding achievements.”
Expanding access to attainable homeownership remains a central focus for Howard Hanna Financial Services. Through its longstanding partnership with PHFA, the company helps guide buyers through the application, processing, and closing of affordable home loan programs, helping more individuals and families achieve homeownership opportunities throughout the Commonwealth.
Since 2009, Howard Hanna Financial Services earned the number one spot in the top-performing lender awards five different times (2009, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2020) and received top billing in PHFA’s specialized categories a total of 19 times. Howard Hanna previously received Most Loans to Veterans seven times, Top QuikClose Lender five times, Best Quality Underwriting Submission three times, and Most Keystone Advantage Loans and Best Quality Pre-Closing Submissions twice each.
In 2025, PHFA’s network of 85 lenders helped 6,867 families purchase a home in Pennsylvania, providing more than $1.5 billion in loans to help make homeownership dreams come true.
