With the recent passing of our founder, Mr. Hanna, and the cool temperatures coming on fast, we wanted to take a moment to pay tribute to him and his affinity for cozy comfort foods. While Mr. Hanna was known to many as a successful businessman, family man, and pillar of the community, he also had an affinity for cooking and a secret chef’s heart. In 1991, he was the proud winner of three out of five entries in a Heinz chili cookoff competition.
Since his passing last month, we’ve had a few requests to share his recipes and the Hanna family is pleased to share them with our readers. Below are two of his prize-winning recipes – White Hot Chili and Best Texas Style Chili. We wish you all happy cooking!
