NANUET, N.Y. (November 1, 2023) – Howard Hanna Real Estate Services (HHRES) is pleased to announce Matt Rand has been named president of Howard Hanna’s New York state operations. In addition to his new role, Rand will maintain his position as president/CEO of Howard Hanna | Rand Realty in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut tri-state area.
Rand has a distinguished career in the real estate industry, and his dedication to Howard Hanna | Rand Realty has been instrumental in the company’s continued success. In his new position, Rand will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and growth of Howard Hanna’s operations throughout the state. He will work closely with the existing executive team to ensure the continued delivery of exceptional real estate services to communities throughout New York.

Rand serves as chair of the New York State Board of Real Property Tax Services, a director on the Governor’s Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council and the board of The Realty Alliance, in addition to serving on several non-profit boards.
Rand succeeds Al Picchi, who has been with Howard Hanna for 22 years and served in leadership roles for seven years. Picchi will remain active within the company as a consultant and real estate agent.
