October 9, 2024 – The Howard Hanna Family of Companies Foundation is proud to announce a $200,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support ongoing relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Helene. The hurricane has caused widespread devastation across the Carolinas, with many communities facing significant challenges, particularly in Western North Carolina, where more than 1,000 Howard Hanna | Allen Tate agents and their families reside.
“Our hearts are with everyone affected by this disaster, including many of our own employees, agents and their families,” said Howard “Hoby” Hanna IV, CEO of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. “The resilience, strength and compassion we’ve seen across our offices is inspiring. We are committed to standing alongside our communities as they begin the recovery and rebuilding process, providing not only financial assistance but also a place of refuge and support for those in need.”\
Howard Hanna offices in the Asheville and the Mountain Region of North Carolina have opened their doors to serve as community hubs, offering residents access to wi-fi and communication channels while they work through the storm’s aftermath. Local agents and staff have also stepped in to coordinate supply donations and deliveries, embodying the company’s commitment to service.
“Our communities are our family,” said Gary Scott, president, Southeast Region, Howard Hanna | Allen Tate. “The determination and generosity shown by our agents, staff and partners have been nothing short of remarkable. As we work closely with the American Red Cross and local organizations, we’re focused on getting help to those who need it most, especially in the hardest-hit areas of Western North Carolina.”
In addition to the $200,000 donation, the Howard Hanna Family of Companies encourages others to support relief efforts.
