Howard Hanna Insurance Services Named in IIABA’s Best Practices Study

PITTSBURGH – (Aug. 20, 2025)- Howard Hanna Insurance Services is proud to announce that the company has once again earned the prestigious designation of “Best Practices Agency.” The Best Practices Agency status is earned through participating in the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) Best Practices Study group. The annual survey and study highlight the business practices of top-performing independent insurance agencies and encourages others in the industry to adopt these proven strategies.

For 32 years, IIABA and Reagan Consulting, an Atlanta-based management consulting firm, have teamed up to analyze and study the country’s leading agencies in six revenue categories. Agencies selected for the Best Practices Study Group are chosen every three years through a rigorous nomination and qualification process. To earn the designation, each agency must be nominated by an IIABA-affiliated state association or an insurance company and must meet strict criteria for operational excellence.

More than 1,100 agencies throughout the U.S. were nominated to compete for the coveted designation this year. Only 348 agencies qualified as a Best Practices Agency this year.
