Howard Hanna’s Russ Ford Elected to Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association’s Board of Directors

Columbus, OH – The Ohio Mortgage Bankers Association (OMBA) is pleased to announce the election of Russ Ford, from Howard Hanna Mortgage Services, to the OMBA Board of Directors. Ford was elected by his peers at the recent annual convention in Columbus, Ohio, and will represent the lenders of the association during his term.

The OMBA Board of Directors is composed of 15 trustees, including nine at-large members, and leadership positions such as president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and  immediate past president. The board includes representatives from both lenders and non-lenders, with Ford joining the lender group. Members in this category are eligible to serve up to two consecutive terms of three years each, unless elected to the executive committee.

With decades of experience in the mortgage, financial and credit service industries, Ford follows in the footsteps of several Howard Hanna leaders who have previously served on the OMBA Board of Directors. Howard Hanna has been a long-time member and steadfast supporter of the OMBA, reflecting the company’s commitment to the industry and its advocacy efforts.

Joe Lindau from Howard Hanna and a past president of OMBA, praised Ford’s election, stating, “Ohio Mortgage Bankers is the third most active mortgage association in terms of participation and advocating for positive industry change at the statehouse level – only behind California and Texas. Leading a team of successful salespeople, Russ will bring a fresh perspective to the OMBA Board, uncovering frontline challenges with borrowers in today’s market, that historically has been comprised of C-suite and operational staff.”

Russ’s appointment is expected to bring valuable insights and leadership to the OMBA, as he contributes his extensive experience and a new perspective to the organization’s ongoing efforts to advance the mortgage banking industry in Ohio.

Congratulations, Russ.
