Service is at the core of all that Howard Hanna does, and it extends far beyond the business services we provide to our clients. We strive every day, in every transaction, to reflect the pride we have in our company, ourselves and each other. Our clients drive our success, and we emphasize giving back to the communities that we serve.
The company established The Anne E. Freyvogel Hanna Legacy Honor in a tribute to the late Anne Hanna, who founded the company in 1957 with her husband, Howard. Anne was a true inspiration to all employees of the Howard Hanna Family Companies, known for her work with charitable organizations, and compassion and desire to help others.
Honorees who best meet the qualifications of service and volunteerism to their family, community and to our company are recognized for their efforts biannually at our real estate convention. Danielle Shearer, vice president and general manager of Howard Hanna Insurance, was one of the recipients of this distinguished honor the 2022 convention.
Danielle works tirelessly to seek opportunities and ways to give back, but perhaps most importantly, she inspires others to get involved. Each year, Danielle diligently applies for donations offered by our insurance carriers to benefit our company charity, The Children’s Free Care Fund, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh and Morgantown, W.Va.
Our partners at the Ronald McDonald House said, “Danielle’s passion for helping others is more than what she does, it’s who she is. Inviting others to share her enthusiasm, Danielle compounds her impact by broadening her reach. There hasn’t been a campaign or project that we’ve shared with Danielle that she hasn’t embraced. It’s clear that she takes great pride in her service.”
