Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund Makes “Crucial” Donation

On Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund (HHCFCF) presented a check for $130,000 to University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies and Children’s in Cleveland, Ohio. The gift was presented during halftime of the Cleveland Browns’ Crucial Catch game. While Browns fans were disappointed by a loss against the Chargers, all who attended celebrated HHCFCF’s momentous gift to local children in need.

“I continue to be impressed with the fundraising efforts from our agents and staff in Ohio,” said Amy Martin, executive director of HHCFCF. “UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s is a remarkable medical center and we are incredibly proud to support our community and the children they serve.”

The Cleveland Browns have an ongoing partnership with University Hospitals, and Howard Hanna was honored to be a part of the team’s annual Crucial Catch game. The NFL’s Crucial Catch program works to fight cancer through early detection and risk education, and HHCFCF’s donation to UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s will provide critical medical services to children from across the region.

Since 2005, the HHCFCF has donated $2,688,351 to the UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s, a pediatric acute care children’s teaching hospital. The HHCFCF has partnerships with 20 children’s hospitals across Howard Hanna markets, with regional offices raising money to support local hospitals. Collectively, the HHCFCF has donated more than $18 million to support regional children in need.
