Buffalo, NY (February 13, 2020) – Howard Hanna Real Estate Services is pleased to announce that Matthew Whitehead has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Greater Buffalo area.
In this new position, Whitehead will oversee managers and agents in the 17 offices in the Buffalo region, and will continue to focus on growth in the area. Whitehead has been at Howard Hanna for 15 years, beginning his career in sales and administration in 2006 as Special Projects Manager at Realty USA prior to its merger with Howard Hanna in 2016. He is a graduate of Mercyhurst College, with a background in psychology and human behavior. In 2019, he was named to the Buffalo Business First 40 Under 40 list.

Whitehead’s extensive community involvement includes a six-year term with the Kevin Guest House, a healthcare hospitality organization, where he was the chair of Marketing and Business Development and assisted the house with the creation of many new programs and concepts for the nonprofit. For his work with the Kevin Guest House, he was a Distinguished Honoree by the Association of Fundraising Professionals Western New York Chapter in 2019.
Outside of his work in real estate and in the Buffalo community, Whitehead is an avid reader of nonfiction books. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Catherine, and their two children.
